Jacket from 2017, but otherwise just wanted to throw this up here so there is a photo in the post. |
- I'm going to only count the clothes I have here with me currently, which is the overwhelming majority of my wardrobe, but not everything.
- I'm going to keep track of it on my annual clothing spreadsheet, which goes back to 2014. This is the easiest because I can add a column for my 2020 Challenge and then as I wear something check it off. So if it is from before 2014 or for some reason not on the spreadsheet, it gets a pass. (I don't think there are many of these but I'll keep a running list to see.)
- I'm going to give myself a few outs:
- I think true winter clothes will be tough (today was 90 degrees F/32 degrees C and it is February) and so even if I plan to spend the day in the air conditioning, I won't be needing my heavy wool coat. To that end, if I wore it on my December trip to Paris I'll probably go ahead and give it a check mark.
- I'm giving myself 10 freebie items, but might have to edit that as I work through it. I plan to split those between winter clothes and ultra fancy ones. Luckily, in Dubai you can dress to the nines for the grocery store and no one bats an eye, so this might be a fun way to do some formal gown/sneaker looks.
- I'm not doing shoes or accessories. Cause this is my challenge and I'll make up arbitrary boundaries if I want to.
Would this be an easy or difficult challenge for you? Thanks for reading and let the games begin!
That all makes sense. I'm hoping this will be a fun look through my wardrobe and also probably a way to force me to do a cull.
