Sweater | Tibi Skirt | Prada (secondhand) |
My instagram algorithm is hellbent on selling me things I don’t want. I understand why it attempts to do so, and why it’ll persist, but recently I’ve been missing good old outfit inspiration. Images that make me excited about the clothes I already have, because, boy, do I have some clothes. Here are some recent pulls from the Archive (which is how I like to refer to my closet). As per usual, it is a mix of secondhand and new.
I’ve been looking for sweaters that make this skirt pop and this is a success, I’d say. The skirt is Prada, from their very chic 2017 show, and I got it for a steal! I’ve continued to look for more pieces from that same collection but haven’t yet found the right piece for the right price.
Next up, a denim tuxedo. I bought this sherpa-collar jean jacket recently and it goes with everything. I had this exact jacket when I was in high school (except it had the fuzzy sherpa throughout, not just on the collar) and I’m gutted I ever gave it away.
This is just casual jeans and a sweater, with a bag that I made myself. The jeans are very wide leg, in the current style, but I love a lot of the little details - the interesting tucks down the seams, the extra long back pockets - that have me confident I’ll keep wearing them once we transition back to skinny jeans. Also, my Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 sneakers, which is a style I’ve worn for almost a decade and that Asics no longer sells in the USA! I guess this pair will just have to last forever.
Lastly, a casual outfit worn to a child’s birthday party, somewhat recklessly, I should add, since the sweater is cashmere. It escaped unscathed.
Until next time!
